• Everyone here know the Physiological Sigh? @danieltyack taught me this one and it’s so good!

When stress hits and our nervous systems shift into sympathetic state, use this super simple, super quick breath technique to reset – takes 30 seconds.

Step 1: take a deep inhale through the nose.

Step 2: at the top of the breath, take a quick, second sip of air.

Step 3: slowly exhale through the mouth, with a sound or a sigh.

Step 4: repeat up to 5 times – feel the shoulders drop and the tension in the body release.

The physiological sigh signals safety to the brain, instantly shifting us out of stress and into relaxation… I love neuroscience. So damn cool. Try it and share how it felt!

      • Yes. I think this was on the Huberman podcast. I have been using this in all my yoga, sound and hypnosis sessions lately. I also love the “VOO” breath

        • This one really is the quickest way out of stress, and I LOVE how Huberman brought it to the mainstream! It’s similar to some patterns in Pranayama and ChiGong. I believe it’s called Cycle Sighing or Reverse Breathing in ChiGong. But Huberman’s approach made it more approachable!
