Last couple weeks I’m really enjoying the benefits of a simple regulation practice – pressing my fingertips together – all 10. The instantaneous calm when i docus on this is ao nurturing.
In case you’re new here, this act of pressing all fingertips to their counterparts activates accupressure points which in turn activate the parasympathtic nervous system – the “rest & digest” mode – opposite of “fight & flight”. This practice can also bring awareness to the present moment, decreasing anxious feelings, slowing & clearing the mind, etc. You can use this in moments of stress or heightened emotional states for down regulating and calm.
I work hard to have patience and this has been great recently. Try it!
