@jonathan do you have any local business meet ups that you’re working with? There’s a bunch of them here in Encinitas but theres also a LOT of creatives and business types.

@danieltyack , yes we have a local group for business connections. It a very east coast vibe, so mostly business stuff. However, a few of us are finding some community. I’m located in Virginia in case anyone on here is close 🙂

@jonathan It looks like we’ll have to use you as our guinnea pig for starting your own Outpost! If you’re interested in heading up a group, we can brainstorm exactly what that looks like, and use yours as a template for others. We can develop some best practices training and meeting templates with discussion prompts.

I like that idea. Have local outposts that give weekly support and then bring regional groups together quarterly for inperson events. Maybe a national meetup annually? So much possibility. 🙂 @danieltyack

Exactly! And that’s basically the community structure for all of Undercurrent. An Outpost would be a community group. Outposts can focus on their particular niche, while the entire community follows along with the conversation prompts within the curriculum.

My aim is to empower people to be leaders in their community, while getting support from the main organization. The “curriculum” is the choose your own adventure mentorship game (The Uprising).

Each Outpost has a Host and CREW members (volunteers). Above that are Guides and Mentors to keep things aligned. It’s designed to be super flexible while being able to manage a variety of community branches.

All that to say… By creating a meaningful management structure, it will be super easy to bring people together for community, regional, and global level parties! ⚡

@danieltyack that makes perfect sense. It’s really about empowering local leaders to recruit their own gathering while using the resources of the “mothership”. I helped build a model like that for a business mastermind. I’m up for brainstorming what this looks like. I’ll see if there’s a DM feature here, and I’ll send my calendar link.
